Download PDQ Smart STP App

To start with PDQ Smart STP lock, download the app from app store or play store. Scan this QR Code or Search “PDQ Smart STP” and look for this logo

Create Account

After downloading the app, first step is to create an account with PDQ Smart STP.


Open the PDQ Smart STP App	Tap on Create New Account Enter Email Id and Password if you already have an account

Provide basic information required on screen	Click on the red icon to fill up current address automatically You can also enter it manually

Select security questions and answers. Save it

Set up Product

If you’re setting up first product then please click on + sign on middle of the screen else, select Setup Product option from upper left corner slider menu


Select PDQ Smart STP Lock from product list	Select Installation Guide/video if lock installation is pending or click Continue

Select Serial# of your lock from the list If you don’t see serial# in the list, please select “Scan QR Code” option from bottom of the screen QR Code label will be in package of lock	Choose location of the lock or you may give location name by selecting “Other” option Choose Product Name (Lock Name) from the list or you may give your choice of name by selecting “Other” option Select Time zone of the lock. This is required for user schedules

Configuring Lock


After successful registration, you will see option on how you want to configure lock You may choose default settings or can customize it If you choose default settings, then next step is user management	Customization will provide different device settings which you may turn on and off based on your requirement

You may turn on or off the keypad If keypad is turned off, keycode users can not operate the lock	You may turn on or off keypad sound

The lock can be auto relocked after the desired interval	Enabling this option will provide additional security to keycode users When you enable SPY protection, lock will ignore first two digits of keycode

Push notifications are real time alert for events Note: to receive in real time, Bridge is required	If you set this setting on, app will ask you to provide additional authorization by entering PIN, Pattern, finger print of face recognition

User Management

Adding user devices for Admin user


You may add other user devices for yourself Select user device you want to add and press next Note that user devices added here will have 24X7 access as they belong	When you select Keyfob, press and hold any key for 5 second after you click on ok button on screen

You will notice blue LED on Keyfob when it is connected Select key you want to use by tapping on key or list on the screen	Select the operation you want to do with this Keyfob key

The Keyfob is activated and you can use it now to operate the lock	You may add one by one or all user device at a time by selecting them

You can keep 6 to 8 digit as keycode	All user devices will be registered on server

You may choose to invite friends and family to access the lock You may manage user later on too	Provide name of the user and select user device You may set profile picture of user by tapping on “+” icon

For mobile user device, user has to create an account with same email address on which he/she has been invited	You may select multiple user devices at a time and set up same schedule for all

User device can have 24X7 access to the lock	You may restrict the user base don number of openings

You may select schedule base on Day You may select specific days as well	User may allow to access during specific day and time

Invited user can be allowed to access during specific date range	You may select the checkbox at bottom to apply same schedule for all user devices of this user
	The invited user will be in list You may invite more than one user or click finish to complete the set up

Home Screen

Slider Menu	:	This menu provides more options for third party product integration, user preferences and log out
Lock Name	:	This is name given by Admin to the Lock while setting up the product.
Status & Operation Button	:	This shows current status of Lock. Lock can be operated by same button by tapping on it
Setup New Product	:	You may add new product to your account from here
User Preference	:	Account Profile, Notifications, Change Password settings are available under this option
User Management	:	Allowing access to friends and family is easy with PDQ Smart STP. They can be scheduled to access on specific time.
Help	:	Any Questions? Check this option. It offers user guides, FAQs, feedback, Submit an issue and so on

Lock Detail Screen

Home	:	This will take you to Home Screen
Lock Name	:	This is name given by Admin to the Lock while setting up the product.
Status & Operation Button	:	This shows current status of Lock. Lock can be operated by same button by tapping on it
Battery	:	Current battery status of the Lock. We recommend changing it when left 20%
Settings	:	Device settings can be accessed/modified from here. This also has an option for Firmware Upgrade whenever it is available
Event List	:	All operations are recorded and can be viewed from here. More events can be viewed on portal by scrolling at end of page and tap on option to view events on server

User Preference


You may set your account preferences from here	Push Notification - You can select the events for which you want to receive notification

Account Profile - You may change your account detail such as name, profile picture, security questions, address and so on	Change Password - You may change your password from here
	Connect to Portal - You can connect to user portal from the mobile application as well

Settings/Control

PDQ Smart STP Lock provides different device settings which can be configurable as per needs

Keypad	:	By default, Lock can be accessed by keypad code. This can be turned off
Keypad Sound	:	Keypad makes sound on keypress.
Vacation Mode	:	Turn off this mode when you don’t want to operate PDQ Smart STP Lock through phone, keypad and fob.
SPY Protection	:	Enabling this option will protect your access code by ignoring first two digit you entered
Child Protect Mode	:	This option will provide additional security as it forces user to enter PIN or Finger print or Pattern every time unlock button is pressed. Enable this option for this additional security.
Child Protect Setting	:	There are different options on how to protect lock, Finger Print, Pattern, User PIN or Face recognition
Two-Factor Authentication	:	When this is enabled, user has to provide to authorized devices to operate the lock

About Product

Product Name	:	This is name that you gave to you PDQ Smart STP Lock. This can be changed from here. You may also change it from home screen by tapping on name
Firmware Upgrade	:	Whenever new firmware is available, it can be upgraded from here. This requires Bluetooth connection with Lock
Factory Reset	:	If you want to reset Lock as factory default, then click here. Caution: This will erase all settings and users
Device Information	:	It shows device information - Device Serial#, Hardware Version, Software Version

Events

See who has accessed PDQ Smart STP Lock and what time. The app shows recent list of events. When you click on “Tap Here to See More Events”, app will take you to PDQ Smart STP Portal where you can see all events.

Note: Be in Bluetooth range of Lock to see latest events

Editing User

The user schedule and profile can be edited as and when required by tapping on guest user name from the list


Select guest user from list of users	This will list the devices which can be accessed by this user Select device to see more detail

User devices which are accessed by user will be marked as green You may add another user device by selecting from the list You may edit existing user device by clicking the user device icon	Click on clock icon to edit schedule You may delete this user by clicking on “Delete Keyfob” If Keyfob has new firmware, then it can be upgraded from here
